PostSubject: Luxair Boeing 737-800   Fri Oct 23, 2009 7:58 pm

As I read today in the Wort, Luxair will lease a Boeing 737-800 from TuiFly until May or March 2010. The aircraft will be painted in the Luxair colors. It will replace the existing 737-500.
Anyone can say something more about this?

Currently the 9th November seems still to be correct, but you'll never now.

Some other (unconfirmed) news. 4th Dash will be handed out to Luxair on 16.12.09 in Toronto. Arrival in Luxembourg planned some days later. Will be LX-LGE.

A little correction. Got some info from someone at Shannon Airport. D-AHFN already arrived on 16.10.09 at Shannon for repainting. Maybe Skyliner made a little error.

Unconfirmed news is that Luxair will receive the new 737 on 19.11 at Hannover Airport.

The following is confirmed by a report from Shannon:
D-AHFN arrived 19.10.2009 in Shannon for maintenance with Air Atlanta Aero Engineering and went into the paint hangar 04.11.2009.

Furthermore, a recent news in the Luxemburger Wort and in the Tageblatt mentionned beginning December for entry into service with Luxair.

So let's wait and see !

It seems that you're correct Mike! Smile Luxair showed a flight on their website today, an arrival from Hannover so I supposed I could be LX-LGT.
My apologies!

PostSubject: new Luxair 737-800   Sat Nov 21, 2009 9:44 pm

From a sure source I've been informed that the "new" 737-800 will be handed over to Luxair this monday. Apparently it will be flown to ELLX by captain Hennicot.
Does anybody knows what Luxair will do after the lease? (it seems to be leased for 6months)
But, from unsure sources I heared that it will be (normally) leased for 3 years until Luxair will receive their own new plane direct from Boeing. (737-8C9WL) Yes it is the former Hapag-Lloyd D-AHFN cn 28228/484 first flown 2000
Very Happy
