PostSubject: The 747 mystery   Wed Mar 09, 2011 2:19 pm

Hi
I made on sunday 6.3. a pic of an all white 747 over LUX.
Today i tried to find out what reg it has but unfortunately i cannot read it on the photo. Only the last 2 letters are half-way readable. the 2nd last can be an A ( 80 % sure) and the last one an R ( 90% sure).I am searching now for hours in the net but i can't find it. Do anybody has an idea witch plane it can be?
I hope i'm right with the type ( 747-400)

I have just searched my database and nothing comes back on a 747 with ??-?AR. It is a 747 though.

My best guess is World B747-412BDSF N743WA, partly visible under the wing would be its former registration 9V-SPG (before transformation into a freighter)
Overflight took place at around 1:30pm last Sunday, heading west, FL 240 climbing, therefore no contrails (yet)

i took the pic exactly at 1:30 pm and the bird was heading west. So it is the World N743WA.
Thanks a lot guys!
