Very interesting picture of that period of time. GREAT...!
By, the way: Do you have also a possible picture of a certain BRANIFF / CALDER DC-8 (or 707) at Luxembourg-FINDEL.
I heard that this one was here in (probably) the late 70's.

Serge,
we went to LUX from Aachen 2 or three times per year only in the Seventies. I`ve never seen any Braniff planes there. But BN visited FRA from time to time, with DC-8s and 707s and with the Calder DC-8-62 N1805. Mostly on MAC charters.

Greetings to LUX,
diddi

Thank's diddi for your answer.
Don't know that you came only 2-3 times a year to visit LUX. But FINDEL was and is (even 2-3 times a year) an interesting Airport...!

Hello,
thanks for your nice comments! Here`s another one, taken from the same place we used last Saturday, only in better weather conditions and 35 years earlier:

Very nice pics, diddi! In addition, here is the same Luxair 707 seen at DUS in 1978 while on lease to Sobelair:

She certainly looks fine, with our beloved F-BHMR in the background (nowadays to be found at MUC)!

Here LX-LGW is coming in to land:

And the first Jet equipment for Cargolux, TF-BCV (formerly N8962T of Trans International)

Great stuff! I remember that DC-8-61CF with Loftleidir cheatline operated with small Seaboard World titles before. BTW, here are two more shots of the same Cargolux reg but not the same aircraft, it's a series 63CF first (DUS 1977):

... converted to a 63AF later in the new metal livery (DUS 1981):

Great pics Donaldson. Very good job at that time.

By the way, do you have also a picture of B.707F Cargolux...? I think it was LX-BJV. Was a child at that time, but can remember the 707 very well.

Thanks and Ciao

Thank you, Serge! Yes, you are right - here is the only Cargolux B707 in full colours, seen here in 1981 starting up for her ferry flight to LUX after transporting horses into DUS:

Already two years earlier, Cargolux operated this leased B707 in basic ex-TWA Cargojet livery with small Cargolux stickers:

Enjoy!

A bit later, I got her at LHR as 5A-DKA, with a barely readable registration painted on the fuselage:

Wow, nice! Two years later in 1984 we can see it here taxiing out at CGN, operating for West Coast Airlines of Ghana, still in basic Cargolux paint scheme:

Later in the same year and now in WCAL's new livery, it encountered ugly weather at Drizzledorf:

Thank you for your comments! In order to avoid coming too far off-topic here, I put some more DC-8 pics in an extra thread...
